About brown colors
Brown is a dark, low-saturation orange, and the web names reflect its earthy range: cornsilk, wheat, tan, burlywood, peru, chocolate, sienna, saddlebrown and maroon. Browns feel natural, grounded and warm, and they make excellent neutral bases for a palette that would feel cold in gray.
Darker browns like #5D4037 read as sophisticated near-neutrals and pass contrast for text; lighter tans work as warm background and surface colors. Brown pairs especially well with cream, forest green and muted teal.
