About blue colors

Blue is the most-used color in interface design — trusted, calm and readable — and the web set is deep: aliceblue, lightsteelblue, cornflowerblue, royalblue, mediumblue, the pure blue keyword and navy. It is the default link color the web was built on.

Blues in the mid-to-dark range are among the easiest colors to make accessible: #1D4ED8 and darker clear WCAG AA on white comfortably. Blue also reads consistently for people with color-vision deficiency, which is part of why it dominates buttons, links and primary actions.
