What is a gray screen?
A gray screen is simply a web page filled edge to edge with one solid color — Gray, hex #808080, or rgb(128, 128, 128). It is a mid-toned, neutral color: in HSL it sits at 0° hue, 0% saturation and 50% lightness, and its relative luminance is 21.6%. gray is one of the standard CSS color names, so it renders identically in every browser.
